Dragon time is a blend of essential oils designed specifically to support women emotionally during their monthly cycle.

The potent blend is formulated of six different therapeutic grade essential oils namely:

  • Clary sage (Salvia sclarea)
  • Fennel (Foeniculum vulgare)
  • Lavender (Lavandula angustifolia)
  • Marjoram (Origanum majorana)
  • Yarrow (Achillea millefolium)
  • Jasmine (Jasminum officinale)

Each of the constituents of dragon time oil blend contain phytoestrogens that can balance feminine hormones in special times. [1] The essential oils have potent anxiolytic, anti-stress, sedative, and antidepressant qualities too.

Dragon time oil is effective for both young and old women in the times of PMS (Premenstrual syndrome), Menopause, postpartum depression, and other times of emotional support.

Here are the potential benefits and uses of dragon time essential oil, all based on evidence.

1. Dragon Time Essential Oil Can Relieve PMS Symptoms.

Some clinical statistics suggest that up to 20% of all women of reproductive age have premenstrual symptoms. While 5-8% suffer from severe PMS symptoms that affect their daily lives. [2]

PMS comes with a roller coaster ride of emotions in women. Some of the common symptoms of PMS are mood swings, anger, irritability, oversensitive, crying, depression, nervousness, and anxiety, etc.

Clary sage oil in dragon time blend has phyto-estrogenic effects. Sclareol in Clary sage works as a natural estrogen in women. The component is said to have a balancing effect on hormones and emotional ups and downs during PMS. [3,4]

Stress management is important when you are trying to relieve PMS symptoms. Lavender oil is a natural anti-depressant and sedative that can help you with stress, anxiety, nervousness, and sleep disorders during PMS. Several clinical research confirm that inhalation of lavender oil aroma can significantly reduce PMS emotional symptoms. [5,6]

Moreover dragon time oil blend massage can relax muscle tensions, period cramps, etc. effectively.

2. Dragon Time Essential Oil for Menopausal Symptoms.

A 2008 Korean study published in the Evidence-Based Complementary and Alternative Medicine (eCAM) investigates the efficacy of Jasmine, lavender, fennel, and other essential oils in reducing menopausal symptoms among 25 menopausal women. The researchers concluded that aromatherapy massage with essential oils might be an effective remedy for menopausal hot flashes, mood swings, pain, depression, etc. [7]

The phytoestrogens in clary sage constituent of the blend can cope with the declining estrogen level of menopause.

Jasmine, Fennel and Lavender’s oils are important constituents of dragon time essential oil. Hence topical massage, aromatherapy diffusing or bath with dragon time oil may help you manage menopausal symptoms.

3. Dragon Time Essential Oil for Positive Emotional Health and Mood.

Anecdotal reports from many women suggest the positive effects of dragon time essential oil on their emotional health. The oil can come to your help in times of distress, and to lessen negative thoughts and emotions. The calming oil blend may induce feelings of self-worth, confidence, and stability.

A 2010 research conducted at Srinakharinwirot University, Thailand; states the mood uplifting and stimulating effects of Jasmine oil. The researchers suggest the oil may be an effective remedy for depression. [8]

People have been using lavender oil for its calming and soothing effects since ancient time. Modern clinical research has investigated the science behind the anxiolytic (anti-anxiety) benefit of lavender oil.

A 2018 research published in The Mental Health Clinician journal confirms that linalool and linalyl acetate, two primary terpenoids in lavender oil have anti-anxiety effects. [9]

4. Dragon Time Essential Oil for Postpartum Depression.

Postpartum depression or PPD is behavioral changes and mood disorder after childbirth.

The condition is also known as postnatal depression. An abrupt drop in the feminine hormone estrogen and progesterone after the delivery is one of the major reasons for PPD. some of the common symptoms of the postnatal depression are fatigue, feeling sluggish, irritability, sadness, mood swings, appetite problem, troubled sleeping, etc. [11]

The therapeutic constituents of dragon time oil can give great support in overcoming PPD symptoms.

Researchers suggest that aromatherapy using lavender, marjoram, yarrow, and jasmine essential oils have potential in relieving depressive symptoms of PPD. [10]
